A WOMAN was attacked by a dog as she jogged past the animal in Leominster.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 23-year-old, from Hereford, was bitten on Worcester Road last Thursday (June 25) at around 10.10pm.

As she drew level with the dog's owner the dog immediately attacked her and bit her on her right forearm resulting in slight injuries.

The dog is described as looking like an American bulldog crossed with a Staffordshire bull terrier. It is white in colour with a dark patch on its back.

The owner is described as white, approximately 6ft tall, of average build and possibly bald.

At the time of the attack he was wearing a dark green t-shirt and jeans. He is not thought to be a resident of Worcester Road.
