STAFF at a Hereford supermarket put in an out of this world performance during a fundraising challenge.
The colleagues at Hereford's Morrisons store on Station Approach travelled the equivalent of 800 kilometres during an in store cycle challenge.
More than £1,000 was raised for the store's charity partner, Sue Ryder.
The idea was part of a challenge which saw all Morrisons stores tasked with travelling the equivalent distance from Earth to the Moon by non-motorised means.
A fancy dress day was also staged at the Hereford store.
The store’s community champion, Tracey Potter, said: "We travelled over 800km and raised £1038.52 through our very generous customers and store colleagues.
"That means this since March this year we have raised £1,923 for Sue Ryder and £25,412 for charities right here in Hereford."
The store's deputy manager, Chris Hodgkinson, said Morrisons was "very proud" to support Sue Ryder.
"Money raised for Sue Ryder is going towards giving more people the best possible care in their final days and providing support for their families," he said.
