ONE very special guest paid a visit to a county hospice.
Monmouth Show's male champion Hereford bull, Adzor Lyric, visited St Michael's Hospice this morning.
The visit came after staff nurse Lisa Makin was nursing a patient last week and happened to mention that she and husband David were entering a Hereford bull in the Monmouth Show.
The patient mentioned that he'd really like to see any photographs of the day.
"But we decided to do better than that," said Mrs Makin. "We decided to bring Lyric to the Hospice."
Mr and Mrs Makin and apprentice, Dan Tolnai, loaded up 17-month-old Lyric and took him from their Wellington farm to the hospice for a visit.
Inpatients, day hospice patients, staff and all their families and friends were delighted to see the gentle giant in the garden, having his tummy tickled and mugging for the cameras.
