HOSPICE volunteers were given a makeover by generous Hereford businesses who wanted to say thank you for the hard work they do.

Volunteers at St Michael's Hospice in Bartestree were invited to Peter Prosser Hairdressing, where with the help of stylists and experts were given new looks.

Event organiser Racheal Young from Peter Prosser said: “My dad is a manager at one of the St. Michael’s Hospice shops so I know how hard all the volunteers work.

"It was great to be able to help put on this event to give the volunteers some well-earned pampering and to have so many other local businesses involved was amazing.”

Hairdressers at the salon cut and coloured their hair, Number 10 in Church Street provided Prosecco and canapes and outfits were provided by Cherry Savidge and Pritchards.

Mandy Dyke from Clarins at Chave and Jacksons, Sadie Snell from Sadie’s Beauty and Natalie Whent from Salon XS did their make-up and Jay Watson Photography took the photos.

Salon owner Peter Prosser said: “St. Michael’s Hospice is a very worthy local cause and it’s great to be able to give something back to their hard working volunteers”.

The volunteers were given goodie bags and will receive before and after photos so they can show off their makeover look to friends and family.
