ASDA donated £1,800 to a project which kick-started its community garden.
June Thurston, community champion at Asda Hereford, was so inspired by Saxon Hall’s plans that she helped the management team put together an application to The Asda Foundation for the funding of picnic benches and a large poly tunnel.
The tunnel at the south Hereford gardens will benefit the community beds that are being offered to charities, organisations and individuals free of charge.
The re-development programme was helped by the donation which kick-started the gardens.
