MORE than £1,600 has been raised by a village primary school for the oncology department at Hereford's children's ward, where one of its pupils is currently being treated.
There were 87 children from Marden Primary Academy and Marden Pre-School who took part in a fun run at the school grounds.
A child at the school, with a brother in the pre-school, is currently being treated in the oncology department on the children’s ward at Hereford County Hospital.
He is in his third year of three years of treatment.
The staff and children thought it would be a wonderful way to raise funds to say a big thank you and also to help other children.
The money will be used to fund away days, special events and resources for oncology patients.
