PUPILS at a village school arranged their own premiere of a film they created about the Second World War.

Year three children at Much Birch Primary School created the film as part of a county film project set up by Mark Sanderson and the Herefordshire computing support team.

They were able to watch the official screening of their film at the Odeon in Hereford, along with other schools in Hereford which made their own films.

But the year 3 pupils in Much Birch decided to hold their own film premiere in the school hall so their parents could attend.

Pupils planned everything from writing their own invitations to designing tickets and working out costings. They also served tea and cake.

They raised £245.06 which will go towards buying their own filming equipment.
