THE newest addition to the team behind a Leominster-based charity knows what it takes to make a difference.
Jody Gorle has joined ECHO – a charity which works with disabled people in Herefordshire – as an office assistant.
Jocelyn Hughes, chair of ECHO’s board, says Ms Gorle's new role brings to fruition a long-standing ambition to employ someone with a learning disability to be part of the team running ECHO.
Ms Gorle currently volunteers at a charity shop and is part of ECHO’s About Face theatre company.
The new role at ECHO is her first paid job and she plans to bring 'lots of enthusiasm'.
She added that some of her confidence comes from being an actor at About Face.
