A KINGTON farmer said last week that he will take advice from the police and shoot any dog which is seen attacking his flock of sheep.

We asked those in this week's online poll, at herefordtimes.com, if they agree that dogs should be shot by farmers when they are caught sheep worrying?

A total of 1,028 people took part and the vast majority, 84 percent, said they do agree as it is crucial to protect farmers' livelihoods.

But 16 percent said they thought that it was too heavy-handed.
