A MAN was found hanged in trees by morning commuters in Hereford, an inquest heard.

The body of Pawel Wojciech Krupiczojc was discovered between the Three Counties Hotel and McDonalds on Belmont Road at 7.15am on November 9.

County Coroner Mark Bricknell recorded a verdict of suicide at last Wednesday’s hearing in Hereford Town Hall.

“I think it might have been an impulse act brought on by relationship issues,” said Mr Bricknell after hearing that police had ruled out any third party involvement.

The inquest heard that Mr Krupiczojc, of Hunderton Road, had previously talked about suicidal thoughts with his doctor and had been admitted to A&E at Hereford County Hospital a month earlier after taking an overdose.

Tracy Morgan, of the Stonebow Unit in Hereford, had carried out an assessment at the hospital and concluded that he had a medium risk of suicide.

She said: “He physically looked well, was working and looking forward to the future.”
