A BREAST cancer survivor jumped out of a plane to raise money for the charity which helped her during treatment.

Jan Poole, and her daughter Amy, both completed a tandem skydive to raise funds for Breast Cancer Haven in St Owen Street in Hereford during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Jan said: “Raising awareness in addition to funds is vitally important for other ladies to be able to receive the treatments available to them to help on their road to finding and being themselves again after such a life changing diagnosis."

Together they have raised £1,250 for the charity.

Jan added: "The feeling of doing the skydive was utterly amazing. The view was breath taking coming down and we both wanted to go straight back up for another turn."

The funds raised will be used by Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford to provide emotional, physical and practical support to women undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
