A LORRY driver found himself in a tight spot after trying to avoid the Newtown Road southbound closure.
At 3.45pm the narrow cut-through from Mortimer Road to Burcott Road in Hereford was clear of water.
However, a lorry driver was having difficulty turning around after he had been faced with the narrow carriageway, which has brick walls either side.
The A49 Newtown Road southbound closure in Hereford has resulted in many drivers taking this short-cut.
But for larger vehicles, whose drivers are unaware of the narrow cut-through, many are forced to turn around.
He eventually managed the manoeuvre.
