Gold award honours marina’s top facilities

THERE were celebrations at Upton Marina over Easter weekend as a staff received a top award recognising the business’ top facilities and customer service.
The facility, run by Tingdene Marinas, has achieved the Yacht Harbour Association Four Gold Anchor Award.
This long-running and highlyregarded scheme rates marinas on a scale of one to five ‘anchors’ based on an overall assessment, mystery shopper visits and a berth holder questionnaire.
Upton’s mayor Andrea Morgan was invited to attend on Saturday as the award was handed over.
Julie Rawlings, manager of Upton Marina, said: “We are very pleased our efforts in providing excellent facilities and outstanding customer services have been recognised.”
