Celebrities lined up for Herefordshire food festival
4:19pm Thursday 30th August 2012 in Ledbury
A series of celebrities and food experts has been lined up for Herefordshire’s food festival, run by Visit Herefordshire.
Now in its seventh year, it has been re-named the “allpay Flavours of Herefordshire Festival”. It has outgrown the original site and will now take place in and around Hereford on the weekend of October 27 and 28.
allpay Limited, the Festival’s new headline sponsor, is the UK’s leading payments specialist and based in Herefordshire.
Despite the new title, entrance to the 2012 Festival is FREE! As well as a multitude of Herefordshire’s artisan producers, the festival’s programme offers lots of foodie fun for all age groups, including a huge hog and ox roast and demos from our Celebrity Chefs, although there is a small charge for tickets to some of these events.
Stars of this year’s show include much-loved Queen of Bakes and author Mary Berry CBE;, acclaimed restaurateur and Ready Steady Cook favourite Tony Tobin; the effervescent Katy Ashworth from the
children’s TV show CBeebies; and Xanthe Clay, food and cookery features writer for the Weekend Telegraph.
