Show helps brides plan the big day

The excitement of planning a wedding proved the perfect antidote to Sunday’s soggy weather, as 69 brides and grooms-to-be attended the latest I Will wedding show at the Abbey Hotel in Malvern.

The historic hotel, nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills, played host to about 30 exhibitors showcasing everything from flowers and beauty services to jewellery and menswear.

Visitors enjoyed a complimentary glass of prosecco courtesy of Majestic Wines, of Stourbridge.

They were also encouraged to enter the prize draw to win a dream dress from Bridal Boutique of Worcester, sponsor of the I Will events.

Tracy Brookes, of Malvern business Cake Woman, was particularly pleased with the event. She said: “I was really busy with enquiries and took two orders on the day.

“I am moving into a shop in October so I was able to advertise this, and I got lots of lovely feedback about my designs.”

The next I Will show takes place on Sunday at Stourport Manor Hotel.

Set in 23 acres of grounds overlooking the town of Stourport-on-Severn, the venue plays host to about 40 exhibitors, with two professional catwalk shows.

The event runs from 11am to 3.30pm.

The I Will wedding shows bring together an array of services under one roof.

This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
