Plea for info after motorbike torched

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcycle was stolen from a Ledbury car park and set alight at a public picnic area, where a picnic table was also destroyed by fire.

The theft took place between 6pm and 9.30pm on Sunday.

The black 125cc motorcycle was stolen from St Katherine’s car park, Bye Street, and set ablaze in the picnic area next to Little Marcle Road and the A417.

West Mercia police spokesman Chris Ammonds said: “Police are requesting witnesses to come forward should they have seen anything suspicious in relation to the above, in particular a person who drove a tractor past the blaze and spoke to a bystander.”
