Home gardens open

THE gardens at Davenham and Perrins House residential homes for the elderly in Malvern will be open to the public next Saturday, October 20, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Visitors to the four-acre garden off Graham Road will be able to see more than 50 species of trees including a giant sequoia, numerous acers, giant redwoods and a ginkgo biloba.

Admission will be £2 for adults. Refreshments will be available, and there will be a range of stalls selling homemade produce, inlcuding cakes, jams and pickles, as well as books, plants, Christmas cards, a tombola and white elephant stall.

The open day has been organised by the Malvern branch of the support group, which raises money to support the homes and the residents.
