Round-up
Guide to India
A Munsley girl guide will soon be on her way to India, thanks to a fund-raising auction and dinner in a local farm barn.
The event last Saturday raised £2,400, - more than the £1,500 needed by sixth former Natalie Cruise to secure her place this August at the World Girl Guide Centre at Sangam.
She will travel with other guides and teach English to Indian youngsters.
The trip of a life-time will be particularly useful for Natalie.
She is currently studying at Hereford Sixth Form College and hopes to be a teacher.
The extra money raised will go to good causes, including Ashperton Primary School.
Natalie's mother, Suzanne, has nothing but thanks and praise for the forty local business that supplied goods and promises for the auction.
She said: "There was a huge amount of local support."
Natalie will fly out to India for her 20-day adventure in India on Sunday, August 10.
