Round-up
Home visits planned by clergy
IN a new move, Ledbury parents hoping to baptise their children in one of the local Anglican churches will get home visits from the clergy.
Ledbury rector, Paul Dunthorne said the re-oganisation of the procedures would also entail a Saturday morning session in the Chapter House, to that families can better understand the promises they must make at the font.
He said: "We'll then visit each family a home to discuss things on a more individual basis and to plan with them towards the baptism.
"Baptisms will still take place on Sunday afternoons, with the very valuable help of the Mothers' Union.
"But we are exploring ways in which we can make links stronger with our worship on Sunday mornings."
