Gas lamps

I READ that there is another threat to the town’s gas lamps by way of reduced funding. Well I guess in these straitened times every cost must be examined, and I do recall a letter to the Gazette a while ago in which the correspondent rightly stated that the lamps along the Wells road produce a rather pitiful light which is not really up to the standards required on a main highway.

ACCORDING to their website, the Malvern Lesbian Group is an informal social group for lesbians living in and around Malvern and is now supported by a grant from the Worcestershire Being Different Together project, through Malvern Hills District Council.

WHAT a great place Malvern is to reach your last days! My father, Eddie Price, a resident of the Malvern he loved for around 60 years, passed away very peacefully recently and my family and I could not think of missing the opportunity to acknowledge those whose kindness filled his last days with comfort and contentment.

Malvern Civic Award 2010

FOR the last 15 years the Malvern Civic Society has awarded a special plaque to a new or refurbished building which the Society considers has added something special to the built environment of the Malvern area. Buildings of all kinds have won the award, which is highly regarded by the builders and developers concerned.
