I was interested to read that Tory candidate Harriett Baldwin is going on a "carbon diet". Earthsave International has done research about the damaging effect livestock production is having on climate change. It concludes that by going vegan we can eliminate one of the major sources of methane. Raising animals for food requires almost one-third of all raw materials and fossil fuels used in the UK. Changing your diet is more important than changing to a smaller car. The best thing you can do for the environment is to go vegan.
