Why didn’t Malvern Hills District Council tell its executive committee that the Civic Society had expressed an interest in purchasing the Grange as a building of community interest when they voted to sell?
There are funds and grants readily available to enable purchase of properties of community interest.
The concern is that Malvern Hills District Council is rushing the sale of the Grange, which is listed, and historically part of Malvern’s interesting past, when it should be backing the local initiative to buy a building that would be a community centre.
Why?
It is time to change the decision, there is precedent for that.
