I AM in the middle of my first stint as poppy appeal organiser for Malvern Link, and am amazed at the generosity of the people of Malvern.
This not only refers to those placing their money in collection boxes, but also to the kindness of those retailers who are happy to hold boxes of poppies in their shops, often when they have little space on their counters, always informing me when stocks are running low or collection boxes are full, having suggesting those items that always "do well".
Malvern is full of lovely people so I expected the Poppy Appeal would be well received but I had not expected the overwhelming support that has come my way!
I shall look forward to letting those who were kind enough to hold a collection box know how much their boxes held once I have finished counting, which may take some time!
