IN respect to the recent cable car controversy and rejection, are none of the Malvern authorities capable of achieving anything forward thinking or progressive for the town?

We read of the preserving the environment, yet the hills are already full of unnatural footpaths and covered from head to toe in buildings.

The hills of today are about as natural as a plastic bag from Morrisons! We need to get over our pettiness with regard to them.

I hardly think a cable car would be detrimental to the hills.

Perhaps the Conservators should visit the Austrian Alps, or even the Heights of Abraham in Derbyshire.

Cable cars are pretty unobtrusive things, they are silent, and blend quite well with the landscape, despite the preposterous objections.

Malvern has a woefully low amount of forward thinking companies, facilities, and jobs as it is.

The area is slowly turning into gigantic nursing home when it should be an outdoor mecca with healthy outdoor activities featuring prominently.

As it is there is precious little reason for anyone to visit unless they enjoy charity shops.

The cable car rejection is just one more example of how Malvern is falling into an abyss.
