I AM very concerned that in the context of the debate about the proposed cable car the organisation Malvern For All are portraying themselves as the voice of the people.

However, your lengthy correspondence from readers of the Gazette shows that there are many Malvern residents who are strongly opposed to the idea of a cable car.

I therefore propose to start a new group called Voice of the Malvern Hills to galvanise support for those wishing to preserve and protect the natural landscape of the hills.

The aims and objectives will be as follows:

1. To campaign against the commercial exploitation of the hills.

2. To encourage an understanding of the natural landscape, flaura and fauna of the hills.

3. To encourage disabled people to use the hills. Specifically, to monitor the condition of appropriate pathways and promote better awareness of suitable routes.

4. To work alongside other organisations which share our values.

The inaugural meeting of Voice of the Malvern Hills will take place at the Cube, Albert Road North, Malvern, at 4.30pm on Saturday, March 28.

I hope that all who love and cherish the the Malvern Hills will come and support this new venture.
