SOME 11 years ago, we purchased a fire, surround and hearth from House of Fires in Newtown Road in Malvern and until three years ago we never lit a fire and uncertain of its safety after so long, decided to have it checked.
Much to our horror a local gentleman said 'it was unsafe to use' and suggested we took it out and had a wood burner instead!
Instead, hurt and angry with his findings, I rang House of Fires to find the business had changed hands bur the gentleman who had brothers working in the area woudl pop in and take a look.
They looked, put a smoke check on it, swept it and even laid and lit it for me - at no charge!
All times they were courteous and polite with a reassurance and a smile.
I can recommend them to anyone.
