I READ with interest that there is great concern about the level of traffic that may be going to and from the new proposed development at Newland.
With a proposed one road entrance leading off Worcester Road and a proposed bus service
through this new site, it might help if the developers, the highways department and London Midland Railway got together and re-introduced Newland Railway Halt, some 100 yards from where the old Newland Holt used to be.
This would bring a rail connection to the rear of this development, giving the public a train connection service into Malvern and beyond and to Worcester and beyond.
The rail structure is already in place and some of the trains currently running past could stop
here, thereby giving the public in this area an alternative method of transport within easy
walking distance into the new development.
