In praise of the Big Chill

HAVING been kept awake for three nights running by loud music, I’m beginning to wonder what’s happening to the world!

The sleepy town of Malvern is clearly more famous for its bald hills and natural water source than its venue for one of the biggest festivals in the calendar. But I’m glad Malvern has had a loud wake up call with the Big Chill Festival. The Big Chill is a selfless and considerate festival which takes great care in looking after its surround natural environment and local residents.

I’m sorry some locals couldn’t sleep from August 1-3. Maybe next year they should take advantage of a discounted ticket and then they won’t need to worry about getting a good night’s sleep.

I’m glad to say the Big Chill is here to stay!

ALICE BOND, Poolbrook Road, Malvern.
