I AM getting rather tired of opening my Malvern Gazette each week, turning to the Letters page and seeing yet another letter on the subject of dog mess.

Could we finally close this topic once and for all? But before we do, I would like to redress the balance a little. Whilst out walking on the Old Hills with my three dogs, (and....yes...my three plastic bags!) I often come across the disgusting sight of filthy disposable nappies left on the ground, empty beer cans and broken glass. Your correspondents would de well to turn their attention to human mess, which is just as hazardous, if not more so.

I welcomed Diana Maiden's letter last week in which she made a similar point, although I could not help noticing that her letter had been consigned to the bottom corner of the page!
