I ENJOYED Mrs P Cox's thoughts on my Youth Club hopes.

What made me laugh however, was the supportive parents bit.

The last thing youths 14-18 years want anywhere near their club is parents! They'd have to be banned and no hanging around outside. Get the Police to move them on.

I sometimes went to the club in the Methodist Church in Lansdowne 1954-58. At 14 years I was the baby. If there was an adult there I didn't notice. The sort not wanted in a Youth Club wouldn't want to go in anyway.
