IT was sad to read of the deaths of the two racehorses electrocuted at Newbury Racecourse.
More than 400 horses are raced to death in Britain each year. They perish on racecourses and in training or are killed because they are financially non-viable. These so called failures often end up at horse markets where they can end up sold for meat.
Please remember there's no such thing as a harmless flutter, certainly not for the horses.
