Can you help?

I WORK for Independent Age, the charity which supports thousands of older people across the UK.
We tackle older people’s poverty and loneliness by offering information, advice and friendship.
For those who need it, we also offer befriending and support from an Independent Age volunteer.
We support around 300 older people across the West Midlands and are currently looking for people in Ledbury who can support us by joining our dedicated network of volunteer visitors.
As a volunteer you’d be matched with an older person living near you, giving them the opportunity to see a friendly, familiar face on a regular basis; perhaps dropping by for a coffee and a chat, checking that someone is alright or arranging a trip to the local shops.
You can give as little or as much time as you can spare and by committing a couple of hours a month you can help to brighten the life of an older person living in your local community.
As a new volunteer you can feel rest assured in the knowledge that you’ll receive a full induction as well as the ongoing support of local colleagues.
If you think you would be suited to becoming a volunteer with Independent Age, and would like to find out more contact Andy Gudge, Independent Age Area Manager for the West Midlands, on 0121 443 1520 or email andy.gudge@independentage.or g.ukandy.gudge@independenta ge.org.uk ANDY GUDGE
