Stop harping

FOR heaven’s sake, will you all stop harping on about the destruction of high streets being caused by supermarkets.

All of you I’m sure have ventured to Malvern, Ross-On- Wye , Tewkesbury etc.

These towns all have large supermarkets, all are thriving, full of vitality and vibrant, they are forward-thinking and have travelled into the 21st century.

Ledbury however, known as Deadbury, has ground to a halt.

Most of you can’t remember how vibrant and full of vitality it used to be, you were all too busy living your lives elsewhere.

Why come to Ledbury then wrap it up in clingfilm only to watch it suffocate, telling us to revisit any forward-thinking provisions for the majority of Ledburians for another 10 years, it will then be too-litte too-late, but it won’t affect the LOTS clique, will it. For those of you wishing to live in a museum, might I suggest Avoncroft .

History is important, we learn from it. But why deny Ledbury a future to preserve it's past?
The supermarkets have not killed town centers, the internet did.
