I AM researching the history of Douglas House school which I attended from 1955 to 1957.

I have discovered a few facts via the library and the Malvern Museum, both very helpful during a recent visit to Malvern. Any details on the school’s past and its closure in 1970 would be interesting to me. I would also like to hear from any past pupils or staff from the 50s and 60s.

The building was used during the war as an officer’s mess for HMS Duke – did the naval connection have any bearing on the name Douglas House? Thanks you in advance for your help.
