Crazy paving

I AGREE with Mr Henderson about the pavement work between the Three Counties Showground and Hanley Swan. I have lived in Malvern Wells for 36 years and have only rarely seen anyone walking along that road.

It seems to be a total waste of money (unless there is some sinister purpose of which we know nothing) because Malvern maintains a reputation for poor road surfaces which do need money.

Green Lane, for example, is cracking up after being resurfaced only a few years ago, the reason being that it is a layer of tarmac laid directly on clay with no hardcore underneath.

I have made many trips of hundreds of miles and the dog in the car always wakes up when we cross Malvern limits!

I, no doubt with many others, resent the unnecessary urbanisation of Malvern, possibly because some of the Highways staff were born in Milton Keynes and know nothing better?
