If you are interested in learning more, you can discover the range of educational activities available for all ages. If you are interested in helping a local charity, you can discuss opportunities for supporting in all kinds of ways one or more of these splendid local groups, and meet other local community groups who raise funds for charity."

Mr Holliday added: "The Community Brass Band is playing under the Market House at 11am and Noon, the U3A recorder group is performing at St Michael’s church from 10.30am, and a Singing for the Brain group will be singing by St Katherine’s at 11.30. Three of our churches will be open to visit, you can find out about local decorative arts groups, and look out for players from LADS."

Mr Holliday said: "On the environmental front, you can find out about local food and drink, saving energy, preserving our local heritage, enjoying and helping our local flora and fauna, restoring a canal, gardening, our orchard heritage, driving more safely and how Ledbury’s trees are being conserved. Support groups will also be present to help you find out more about the range of support services which may be able to help you, and you can find out how to improve your lifestyle.

"And The Fire Station will be open to visit, and you will find our local community police there to help you. Ledbury Town Council are looking to hear your views on the Neighbourhood Plan and other proposals."

For the first year for the first time, Community Day will host a Family Picnic for families and young people at 3pm at the Recreation Ground, organised by the Youth Council.

Mr Holliday said: "This is a free event but please bring your own picnic. There will be games and activities, the police are bringing their seat-belt sledge, and the Fire Service are bringing a fire engine, and for grown-ups the Town Council will be there to seek your views."
