MUCH Marcle CE Primary youngsters will get lessons in law and democracy, thanks to the formation of a school council.
Head teacher, Laura Evans said: "Children from Year 2 to Year 6 have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our school council, where we promote the British values of democracy and the rule of law.
"Children who wish to stand for the election, campaign, prepare election speeches and then vote to decide on the new candidates. The school council meets regularly to discuss school issues, plan upcoming events and to influence school processes and procedures."
As a sign of further "collaboration and unity" at the school, youngsters have recently created the Marcle Family Tree.
Pupils created individualised leaves, inspired by good values, for the entrance display.
