LEDBURY'S newest Christian Minister, Arlette Frampton is having to do a great deal of commuting at present, to and from Cardiff in Wales.

But Mrs Frampton and her family will soon be resident in Ledbury, something she is very much looking forward to, and she has already been welcomed by the Elim Church as its new minister, during a recent service.

Mrs Frampton is married to Johnny and the couple have two children, Rhydian aged five and Clara, who is almost four.

She said: "My family and I haven't relocated yet to Ledbury, so for the next few months I'm doing a lot of commuting, for a start."

Arlette is moving from Cardiff City Church, Wales, where she was an Assistant Minister for nearly three years.

She added: "Prior to that I worked as a Church Support Worker and Mission Developer for the Congregational Federation Churches in Wales, for three years."

But Mrs Frampton's original background was in journalism. She has a degree in Journalism and French from Kingston University, as well as a Master's degree in Multi-Media Journalism from Bournemouth University.

She said: "I was qualified journalist before embarking onto my journey, where I dedicated my life to serve God with a relentless passion."

But alongside her ministry, Mrs Frampton still writes and gets published in a monthly Christian Magazine.

At the recent induction service, the Elim Regional Leader, Simon Foster, officiated the service in the presence of several witnesses including friends and families, local ministers from surrounding churches ecumenically, and the congregation of Elim Ledbury.

The Elim Church congregation meets every Sunday at Ledbury Primary School for a service, at 10.30 am.
