Star set to move into castle

A MOVE away from Redmarley looks set to be on the cards for Top Gear’s Richard Hammond.

Mr Hammond was reported this week to have bought the £2.5m Bollitree Castle, in Weston under Penyard, near Ross.

The stately pile dates from the eighteenth century and was built by a man to impress his Spanish sweetheart.

The woman wanted to live in an English castle, but she still spurned her suitor in the end and the ghost of the broken-hearted man is rumoured to haunt the grounds.

The property comes with 20 acres of land, an indoor swimming pool and a six-bedroomed Queen Anne mansion.
