THE results of Ledbury Horticultural Society's 2008 summer show, held on Bank Holiday Monday at the community hall, are set out below.
The best vegetable exhibit was three leeks shown by Mike Davies of Newent, who also won the vegetable points cup and vegetable collection.
The best exhibit in flower classes was a vase of Gladiolus shown by Les Thick of Ledbury.
The cookery points cup was won by June Davies of Newent.
The photography points cup was won by V Jenson of Ledbury.
The vegetable judge was Bob Oliver of Bromyard, and the flower judges were Bob Jenkins and John Powell of Ledbury.
The cookery judge was Margaret Brooke of Kempley.
Society Secretary Les Thick said: "Overall the shows total exhibits were on a par with previous years but the vegetable and flower exhibits were down, with the photography, cookery, children's and handicraft classes all showing an increase.
"Visitors to he show were plentiful with good support from the general public throughout the afternoon."
