Mayor hosting civic service

LEDBURY Town Council is holding its civic service on Sunday, July 12, at the parish church starting at 4pm.

Hosted by mayor Chris Holbourne, the service will be preceded by town council members processing from the council office in Church Lane to the church.

Mayors from neighbouring towns have been invited to the service, which will be conducted by Ledbury team rector Rev Paul Dunthorne.

He said: "It's good to get people together to pray for the life of the town and to pray for the work of the council during the coming year."

The service will be followed by a reception in the community centre, Masefield Close.
