LEDBURY businesses will be looking to repeat earlier successes in this year’s Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards.

Woodhouse Farm Cottages, in Ledbury, won Self Catering Holiday of the Year in 2008 and then went on to represent the region and bring home gold at the national awards.

Owner Sue Furnival success in the competition had generated a great deal of business.

“We have entered the awards again this year to defend our crown, but also because it has delivered such an array of benefits for our business and we would urge anyone else in the tourism business to do the same,” she said.
