A MARRIED couple denied the murder of a man whose body was found in a river when they appeared before a judge at Worcester Crown Court.
Shaun Stokes, 31, and his wife Petra Stokes, 25, both of Hasnett Road, Ledbury, pleaded not guilty to killing Tom Holt.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on September 18 last year.
Mrs Stokes entered her plea with the help of a Slovakian interpreter.
The three-week trial was fixed to start at Worcester on November 1. Judge Alistair McCreath remanded the couple in custody.
The body of unmarried Mr Holt, who lived in May Hill, Gloucestershire, was found in the River Frome at Avenbury, near Ledbury.
