BROMESBERROW St Mary’s Primary School has been described as a good school with an outstanding warm welcome after a recent Ofsted inspection.

The inspector found that the school has an exceptionally inclusive policy where pupils are supported well, and staff work very effectively as a team to meet the needs of all pupils.

The report highlights the school’s “outstanding curriculum, with activities suitable for all abilities and aptitudes, and the inspection found that achievement is good with children often exceeding national averages.”

Head Bronwyn Mabey said: “I am delighted that this excellent report accurately reflects the hard work and dedication of our unified team. It shows us as a harmonious, happy place where children flourish.”

Mrs Carol Davis Terry, chairman of governors, said: “The governors recognise that given the new criteria set by Ofsted, this is an excellent achievement and we are very proud of the leadership, staff and children.

We are all committed to the continued rise in standards and the achievements so far.”

What has happened to the earlier comments? Have they been censored?

Well after the recent "rude cake" debacle where the Chair of Governors, Mrs Davies-Terry had obscene picture and comment on her facebook that could be accessed by children who are pupils at the school, one cannot help but raise a sceptical eyebrow when she says: "We are all committed to the continued rise in standards and the achievements so far.” it seems to me that the only standards are the double variety.
