Cash prize on offer to wordsmiths

LEDBURY Poetry Festival has launched its 2012 Poetry Competition by offering a first prize of £1,000, plus a week of creative writing at Ty Newydd, The National Writers’ Centre for Wales, with views over Cardigan Bay.

Entrants have until Tuesday, July 3 to enter, and the competition will be open to both adults and children.

The judge is Ian Duhig, a poet who has been shortlisted for the TS Eliot award three times, has won the Forward Best Prize and the National Poetry Prize twice.
