Now we need a plan

A VILLAGE is to get £20,000 towards drafting its own neighbourhood plan – but councillors are not yet quite sure how the money will be spent.

Councillor David Harrison, of Malvern Hills District Council, representing Kempsey, said getting the money was “good news” but there was uncertainty about exactly what form the plan will take.

The neighbourhood plans are a national idea to give more power to parish and local councils controlling where new homes get built.

The grant money has come from the Neighbourhood Planning Front Runners scheme.
