Town plan on council agenda
6:30pm Friday 20th April 2012 in News
THE future of Ledbury will be on the agenda at a public meeting in the town next week.
Organisers of Ledbury’s new town plan are inviting as many people as possible to get involved with its consultation process.
At the meeting on Tuesday, volunteers will be forming teams to plan how they will consult residents on a range of topics. These include wellbeing, leisure and recreation, environment and land use, transport, children and economy.
The volunteers will gather information in several ways, including interviews, street surveys, meetings, questionnaires, and public mapping sessions.
At the meeting Chris Gooding, of Herefordshire Council, will provide training for the volunteers.
Steering group chairman Liz Harvey said: “Over the next couple of months we’ll be much more visible in town, so when you see us out and about, make sure you take the time to have your say.”
The information gathered by these groups will feed into a household questionnaire which forms the major part of consultation process in the autumn.
The meeting is in the Burgage Hall, Church Lane, at 7pm.
