BROMSGROVE and Redditch daredevils are being given the chance to take to the skies to raise money for charity.

Townsfolk are being invited to do a parachute jump for the Primrose Hospice.

Brave volunteers will jump from a height of 10,000 feet, and freefall through the air at 120mph before releasing the parachute to begin a relaxed descent from a mile in the air.

Katie Willington, from the hospice, said: "We are looking for people to make a sponsored freefall parachute jump on our behalf, and in return we ask you to raise a minimum of £395 in sponsorship money, in order for you to jump for free.

"Make 2014 the year that you face your fears, take on that challenge, do something you have never dreamed of."

Potential daredevils have a choice of dates to do a jump; Saturday, July 19, Saturday, August 16, Sunday, September 14, and Sunday, October 26.

Money raised will be donated to the Primrose Hospice, in St Godwald's Road, which supports people facing an end of life situation and their families during this difficult time.
