A SPATE of bike thefts has taken place in Pershore with seven cycles being taken in just four days.

The thefts began on Friday, April 11, when four bikes were stolen from two homes in Cornmore, Pershore.

The bikes were described as a purple colour ladies mountain bike, a BMX standard bike, a BMX pedal cycle with red handles, grips and pedals, and a black skull on the saddle and another BMX pedal cycle with green pedals, grips and a green chain.

On Sunday, April 13, a 20 inch silver Apollo Spekter with a spekter in lime green and an Apollo sandstorm were taken from a home in St. Agathas Road.

Finally sometime overnight on Monday into Tuesday morning an Apollo x-rate mountain bike was taken from a property in Head Street.

PC John Hunter said people should be aware of this recent spate.

"Pershore is very safe and crime is low," he said. "But things like this stand out."

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101.
