A PREMATURE Black Country baby has become a star of the small screen after an appearance on breakfast television.

Daisy-Mae Little, dubbed 'the girl who couldn't wait' joined proud parents Wayne and Jen on the Good Morning Britain sofa yesterday (Tuesday) as they spoke about her fight for survival.

The Pensnett tot's journey has been documented by Wayne, through a Facebook page that has attracted more than 23,000 followers from across the world.

His frequent posts, photographs and heartfelt personal diary entries will feature in a book, 'Little Daisy-Mae - The Girl Who Couldn't Wait', due for release in September.

He was keen to talk about the book with the show's presenters Charlotte Hawkins and John Stapleton, during their three-and-a-half minute slot and give hope to parents in a similar situation.

Ahead of the appearance, Wayne was looking forward to meeting his "secret idol" Susanna Reid, who co-presents the ITV show but although he didn't get to meet the star, he said they did bump into Atomic Kitten and Tony Hadley.

He said: "It was a good experience and they made us feel very relaxed. Daisy seemed to be ok with TV, she was wide-eyed and taking it all in - she was less nervous than Jen and me.

"We've had about 400 likes on the Facebook page since and lots of messages saying how well she came across."

Wayne hopes the TV appearance will encourage people to pre-order the book, which will be released on September 13 to coincide with Daisy-Mae's christening.

For every copy pre-ordered, the publisher will give £1 to help Wayne and Jen reach their goal of getting a copy in every neo-natal unit in the UK.
